Training continued today, Barney was great on the lead, hardly pulls at all and was able to concentrate for ten minutes solid recall until another dog went past and that was that!
Roxy is still a bit keen on the lead and was perfect on recall.
All in all a very good walk!
Hi, we welcomed our newest pack member today and it’s the beautiful Molly! She’s a six month old border collie and just adorable.
She’s not fully up to speed on all the doggie fun one can have do to help I brought Red along to meet her and to show her the ropes, as expected they got on brilliantly and much doggie fun was had!
Had to go somewhere with water for Jess to enjoy last thing today, she took full advantage, of the water and the chance to check if any lunchtime picnickers had left any food in the long grass!
It was a scorcher today, Red had a slower paced walk today including a stop of at Wythenshawe Park cafe for a nice drink of cold water.
She did find other ways to cool down though and I admit to being jealous at the time…
Another good day with Barney & Roxy and their training schedule, Roxy comes when called and so does Barney (sometimes!) pulling on the lead is almost gone as well.
Some work to do on general excitement involving joggers, other dogs and other imagined distractions though!
Really impressed by them though, good dogs!
Oscar braved the heat this morning on a lap of Wythenshawe Park, aided by dips in the stream and sticking to the shade.
He made friends with another dog and chased a squirrel, a good day to be a little dog.
The rain did not put this lady (or a few Pokemon hunters) off of the park this afternoon, she’s quite the smiler.
That’s how it felt in the park today, lots of people out gawping at their phones, had to remind one little boy that Oscar wasn’t a Pokemon and not to collect him!
Just bombed it round the park again, I found it tricky keeping up with Oscar, there’s no way I’d even try with Red!
Day two for Oscar saw much better weather and he fairly trotted round Wythenshawe Park, lots to sniff, plenty to investigate!
